Bill Herried, Teaching Elder
"While I was in junior high, friends invited me to their youth group. The love that they showed to me and each other captivated me. I had to find out what made these people tick! One evening, in my eighth grade year, it all came together. The purpose of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection became so clear that I could not resist His invitation to follow Him. That began a lifelong journey of following Christ.
"I graduated from the University of Washington (Seattle) and then married the most beautiful woman in the world, Erin Gardner. We then enjoyed serving on staff as the music team RockSalt with Youth For Christ Tacoma along with our (now grown) children--Josiah, Sarah and Shannon--for 16 years."
Bill's interests include hanging out with his family, golf and just about any outdoor sport.
